Conclusion

The rules, responsibilities and requirements are key factors when playing sport. Each factor acts as a guideline for professional sportmen/sportswoman. The rules must be followed in order for the game to run smoothly and fairly. As a professional athlete you have responsibilities both on and off the sporting field. For example, as an elite athlete you are expected to act responsibly and play to the best of your ability no matter what your circumstances are. Lastly, the requirements refer back to things like equipment and field size. This factor mainly reflects back on officials and the athletes. The field size needs to be correct and checked by officials, so there are no hazards while professionals are competing or else there could be injuries. Not only professional athletes but everyone that plays sport, is expected to have the correct protective equipment when competing. Poor equipment can lead to serious injury and is preventable.

Overall, the rules, responsibilities and requirments all interrelate in some way. The three lessons we have focus on one key factor at a time. After working through the three lessons and meeting the assessment requirements, students should have learnt how rules, responsibilities and requirements need to be combined in order for sport to be undertaken. They will feel like they are prepared the same way a professional athlete would be before a game. Not only that but they will know, specifically the ways an athlete should act and behave on and off the field.

====Each lesson has an assessment rubric. If the student is able to fulfil the requirements highly or moderately in each lesson, then they will have a greater knowledge about the 'rules and requirements of games and sport' (Syllabus Outcome).
